Urban street clothing is a style of fashion created from the rich culture that existed in the inner city streets of the northeast United States almost two decades ago. There is no denying that the fashion industry has been flipped up-side down since hip hop’s arrival and at times even the most seasoned fashion gurus have had no clue what the next big trend is going to be. But isn’t that the point of street urban clothing, to be based on the individual, and not some trend created by a focus group. Let’s take a closer look at how individualism has affected pop culture.
